She Turned 5

We had a fairy-themed craft party at a local art studio.  The girls all seemed to have a great time.  They made fairy-dust necklaces, floral headbands, fairy wings, fairy skirts, fairy wands, fairy masks, and more!  I made my grandmother's chocolate cake (Kiley's favorite) and it turned out awesome.

5 Things About Kiley:
1.  She likes to have someone to play with.  Wether it's a friend or me, she would rather play with someone versus playing alone.
2.  She loves preschool and loves her teachers.  As much as she loves them, she can't wait for Kindergarten and the opportunity to ride the bus!
3.  She gets crazy at night when she's tired.  Like hyper-active all-over-the-place crazy.
4.  She's an absolute chatter-box in the morning.  Non-stop information dumping about dreams, friends, what's happening at school, etc.  For a woman who is not a morning person, this can sometimes be a challenge!
5.  She's a blond who wishes she had brown hair because everyone else in her family has brown hair.

Kiley is such a love.  She has healed me in so many ways.  She gets that our family transcends the here and now on earth.  She still cuddles with me.  Not as much as she once did, but I realize I need to hold on to these moments when they happen.  Because soon enough, she'll be 12 and excited to be a teenager.

Time Flies

I can't believe that it's been 5 weeks since my last post.  We spent a couple of them in Kanab visiting my family.  While we were out there, we took the opportunity to bless Aubrey.  We had such a nice visit and it was tremendously nice to get away from the 2 feet of ice in CT.  We figured out how to Skype while we were out there and Aubrey thought it was wonderful to hear and see her father.  It was amazing to see her reaction to Kullen on the computer.  We are fans!  Now we get to chat online with my parents every weekend.  It's great!
