Revisiting February 2014

We were "blessed" with snow storm after snow storm and plenty of snow days!  I swear every snow day fell on a Monday or Thursday, so Aubrey would go long stretches not going to pre-school.  We tried to keep ourselves entertained and resorted to things I wouldn't normally... like giving Aubrey a spool of yarn and scissors.  She spent a good 40 minutes cutting it up in to 12" lengths.  Who knew?  We played in the snow, went sledding, had dance parties, Frozen sing-alongs, Kiley jumped off the neighbors roof, and all the typical snow-day activities.  Oh, and the water company had to come by to repair a pipe.  They used a bulldozer to create a mountain of snow in our front yard - much to the girls delight.

An Attempt to Play Catch-Up

I've been so bad at blogging.  And I'm realizing that it's something I need to revisit.  It accomplishes a couple of really good things: 1) it serves as a sort of journal; 2) it is a way for me to share photos with my many loved ones who don't get to see us all that regularly.  I miss my family horribly, and I'm sure they miss me and would love to see pictures of the girls more frequently; and 3) I've used this blog to serve as a rough template for our annual picture books.  See, lots of good things.  Now, let's attempt some catch-up.

JANUARY
We hit kids museums and American Girl while Kullen was in Tijuana for 5 days attending an implant course.  Kiley's Grandma Judd gave her a doll for Christmas and she was excited to pick Isabel up at the store and take her to lunch!  We made Chinese lanterns and had fun decorating our dining room for the Chinese New Year.  The lanterns found their way to the girls bedrooms and are still there (it's July 25th as I type this now).  Oh, and truth be told, Stepping Stones Children's Museum is in Greenwich which also has a Kate Spade store.  I had been given a gift that I was excited to pick up!
