Headfirst, Fearless

Kiley has a favorite song that she will listen to over and over again. It's so adorable to hear her sing along. Yes, the lyrics are a little "grown-up," but I do hope that someday this song can be part of the soundtrack for a new love (please, just let her be older than 19!?). What I do like about it for now, is the "headfirst, fearless" part. I just attended a parent-teacher conference at her school and her teacher told me about how Kiley likes to go up to the older kids and make friends with them. She's actually become good friends with some of the older girls in her class (Emily, Marielle). Her teacher, Heather, told me about how impressed they were that Kiley is comfortable enough to insert herself and ask to play and be friends with the older girls (they're 4). So in a way, this song is appropriate for now: "Headfirst, fearless."

Taylor Swift's Fearless

There's somethin' 'bout the way the street looks when it's just rained
There's a glow off the pavement, you walk me to the car
And you know I wanna ask you to dance right there
In the middle of the parking lot, yeah
We're drivin' down the road, I wonder if you know
I'm tryin' so hard not to get caught up now
But you're just so cool, run your hands through your hair
Absent-mindedly makin' me want you
And I don't know how it gets better than this
You take my hand and drag me headfirst, fearless
And I don't know why but with you I dance
In a storm in my best dress, fearless
So baby drive slow 'til we run out of road
In this one horse town, I wanna stay right here
In this passenger seat, you put your eyes on me
In this moment, now capture it, remember it
'Cause I don't know how it gets better than this
You take my hand and drag me headfirst, fearless
And I don't know why but with you I'd dance
In a storm in my best dress, fearless
Well, you stood there with me in the doorway
My hands shake, I'm not usually this way
But you pull me in and I'm a little more brave
It's the first kiss, it's flawless, really somethin'
It's fearless
'Cause I don't know how it gets better than this
You take my hand and drag me headfirst, fearless
And I don't know why but with you I'd dance
In a storm in my best dress, fearless

I just got together with some CT friends. I wish you could have been there. Hopefully someone will post the picture. Someday I will make it back to visit.

Yes, you know me so well.
I totally dance and sing around (with my pretend microphones... spoons are our current fav) and sing all the songs.
What can I say, those HSM songs rock!

And yes, the rumors are true... we're staying in CT. And Matt is buying into a practice in Manchester.
As far as looking for houses goes, I've actually toured Glastonbury and other towns with realtors, just to get a "feel" for the areas, as we're not planning on buying for about another year.
But I have to admit, Glastonbury feels a bit too rural for me.
I'm a city girl, and I really want sidewalks and houses that are within a reasonable walking distance to a town center with lots of shops and parks, etc.
I'm definitely leaning towards West Hartford.
But do you have any suggestions?

Oh, I love Old Wethersfield. Especially their cove and charming little village center.
I'd love to get together with you sometime. Catch up, etc.
